This section introduces the KnowCount Home screen, your central hub for accessing all major features and dashboards. From here, you can navigate to every section covered in this manual — including skills management, team setup, assessments, projects, and reports.

What You See on the Home Screen

When you log in to KnowCount, you’re taken directly to the Home screen. This screen includes:

  • Quick access tiles for key areas such as:
    • Skills Directory
    • People Directory
    • Teams
    • Projects
    • Assessments
    • Reports
  • Search bar to find people, skills, roles, or projects by name
  • Recent activity summary, showing the latest updates in your instance
  • Notifications panel, including reminders and outstanding assessments
  • Help icon, linking to this user manual and other support resources

🛈 What you see may vary depending on your role and permissions. For example, only Administrators will see system configuration options.

Tips for Getting Around

  • Use the breadcrumb navigation at the top of each screen to jump back to parent pages
  • Use the “Actions” dropdowns on list views (e.g., Teams, Projects) to quickly add or edit items
  • Hover over menu icons to reveal tooltips if the sidebar is collapsed
  • Use the search bar to find people, roles, or skills instantly
